IPEM Law Academy organised 2nd Dr. B.S. Goel Memorial National Virtual Moot Court Competition on 28-29th August, 2021. Day-1 commenced with the Inaugural Session on Zoom with the presence of Dr. Sugandha Goel ma’am, eminent Judge Col. Dr. A.K. Vashishta and Dr. Neelam Seam. 19 teams including 57 participants pan India participated in the competition.
Court Rooms were created on Microsoft Teams App with 2 eminent judges in each Court room from legal field (Advocates and Academicians). Prelims and Quater Finals resulted in the selection of top 8 teams which moved to Semis. Day-2 commenced with the Researcher Test which was conducted on Quizizz platform. Finals were contested between Teams from VM Salgaocar, College of Law, Miramar Goa and Delhi Metropolitan Education. It was judged by Col. Dr. A.K. Vashishta and Adv. Surabhi Guleria (Advocate on Record, Supreme Court).

Event was concluded with Valedictory Session in which the following results were announced:

1) Best Speaker: Apporva Sharma (Symbiosis Law School, Noida)

2) Best Researcher: Shivansh Gupta (VIPS, New Delhi)

3) Best Memorial: Ideal Institute of Managemment and Technology.

4) Runner-Up: VM Salgaocar, College of Law, Miramar Goa

5) Winning Team: Delhi Metropolitan Education

The Law Department of IPEM held a Landmark Cases Competition – Interclass Cases Presentation Competition on 17th November 2015 from 2 PM to 5 PM. The competition was on two levels, firstly, the participants had to display the information about their case on a chart. In the second segment, the participating teams had to verbally present the case displayed on the chart.

Activity Report

An activity “Real Me Reel Me Role Me” was organized by the communication club (B.A. LLB) on 16th September 2015 from 12 PM to 2 PM under the guidance of Dr. Nishi Srivastava (Faculty Incharge, Communication Club).

The activity was successfully conducted with the cooperation and participation of students of B.A. LLB and LLB.

Dr. Poonam Khanna (Assistant Professor), Ms. Hadiya Khan (Assistant Professor), and Ms, Aabha (Assistant Professor) were the judges of the activity. Ms. Roopa Sharma (Principal, Law Department) and Ms. Deepmala Rajput also graced the occasion with their presence and words of encouragement.

Feedback was taken from the audience which was positive and it is proposed by all to organize such activities every month.
