Yoga Day Celebration 2017

Mr. Himanshu Lodhi ( Yogashala ) situated at Kavinagar Ghaziabad conducted the event by making everyone aware of the importance and benefits of Yoga. He emphasized the importance of meditation in an individual’s daily life. All the present members did varied yoga asanas and breathing exercises which will benefit them in the future as well. It was a mind-soothing event where everyone did a meditation session for 20 minutes to relax their mind.

The workshop was enlightened with the views of our Esteemed Alumni Ms. Ritu Munjal. Through this workshop we tried to generate the interest, enhance and leverage the proper understanding of the students in the ongoing dialogue Criminal Justice System & it’s dynamic conditions. The objective of the workshop is to provide a platform to students to have a healthy discussion on the above said topic.

Total 55 students of IPEM Law Academy attended the event.

Our esteemed guest discussed the points related to custodial torture, amendment laws related to rape, Juvenile Delinquency, Euthanasia, Cyber Crimes, Justice Trials and Capital Punishments.

In the last of the event, Dr. Meenakshi Tomar gave the Vote of thanks. The whole event was organized in a smooth manner.

The workshop was headed by Principal IPEM Law Academy. The esteemed Alumni Ms. Indu Mittal addressed the audience with their enlightened views.

She explained various aspects of copy rights and their importance. She discussed in detail about the ‘Types of copyrights, Originality of Literary works, Importance of IP, protection of IP, Judicial decisions etc. She concluded the session by discussing about Trademark”, “Service Mark and Collective mark. Her presentation was much informative.

At last there was an interactive session between the guest and students.

The workshop begins with the discussion of History of Intellectual Property from beginning to evolving phase. He also explained the steps and procedure for filing a patent application. The Innovations which are related to the category along with the related rights were discussed in the session.

About Branding & Trademarks, some information was also shared. At last, the audience praised the whole session.

He focused on ‘Intellectual Property and its significance, various aspects of Intellectual Property Rights, its role in the present era. He also briefed about Patents, Patent Rights, trademarks, industrial designs, and copyrights. He focused on the procedure for applying patents and the time bound it takes. He concluded the talk by giving the importance of patent in industry. At last, the audience praised the whole session.

IPEM Law Academy had organized a National Seminar on “Women Empowerment: Emerging Trends & Challenges” on 7th Oct. 2017 which was successfully completed with great pomp & show. The Chief Guest Retd. Justice Shiv Charan Sharma had opined that there is a need of change in temperament in society regarding the respect & honour of Women. Many eminent speakers Prof. Dr. S.N.Singh ( EX-Dean), Prof. Nuzhat Parveen Khan (Dean Law, Jamia Millia Islamia), Ms. Sushma Sahu (Member National Commission for Women) had also supported the view with many provisions provided for upliftment of women under constitution and other statutory provisions. The NGOs & other participants had also expressed the opinion about certain changes & awareness in this field. Certain paper presenters were also there who have presented their articles relating to upliftment of women & their empowerment.
