PPT Competition by IT Club (Law Department)

IPEM Law Academy, IT Club has organized a PPT Presentation Competition on 9th May 2020. This competition was based on the theme “COVID-19”. The aim of the competition was to provide a Platform where LL.B and BA.LL.B Students can share their views and thoughts on the present situation of the Pandemic due to COVID -19, in a visual manner and to inculcate the habit of Learning through Sharing. This activity helped the students to showcase their talent and creativity through the video prepared by them.

Time: From 3.00 PM to 4.00 PM

Number of Participants: 10 Students from BA.LL.B and 7 Students from LL.B participated.

PPT Making Competition

IPEM Law Academy has organized PPT Making Competition on the theme of Prevention for Coronavirus (Covid-19) on 9 May 2020 (Saturday) through Google classroom. In this competition total 20 teams from BALLB & LLB participated with 2 members in each team. PPT has submitted within 30 Minutes from the given time. The competition was judged by Ms. Archana Singh from Law Dept. & Mr. Shashank Kumar from IT Department.

At the end of the competition, two teams were selected from both classes. 1st and 2nd position were got by 10th & 4th sem of BALLB respectively. On the other hand in LL.B 1st Position were got by LL.B 6th Semester and Second position by LL.B 2nd Semester.

Legal Aid Camp

On 20th February 2020, IPEM LAW ACADEMY organized Social & Legal Aid Camp at Dasna with the help of Chairman Mr.Aarif Ali. The camp was placed at a Majar near Azad Inter College where many persons of that area came with their issues.The students of IPEM Law Academy briefly provided their suggestions & also explained many common legal information which is necessary for everyone.They were divided in different small groups so as to collect data (Family wise).

The IPEM Law Academy Ghaziabad (NAAC Accredited) is organizing a National Webinar on “Centre-State Relations under Indian Constitution” on 20thJune, 2020 (Saturday). We, at IPEM believe in promoting learning and enriching the academic pursuits of our Students. Keeping this in mind, we invite distinguished academicians at regular intervals to share their insights through Workshops/Seminars/Faculty Development Programs/Guest Lectures etc from time to time.

The theme of the Webinar has been selected to view the relationship between Centre and State during the last seventy years of working Federal System provided under the Constitution. The Papers have been invited to seek views to make relationship more cordial and smooth especially when one Political party is in power in the Centre and the other in the State.

Research Papers are invited in Hindi/English on the Theme and following Sub-themes:-
i.) Nature and History of Federalism in India.
ii.) Reasons for making the Central Government strong as compared to States in India.
iii.) Distribution of Legislative, Administrative & Financial Powers in India.
iv.) Power of Union to deal with Extraordinary situations such as Emergency.
v.) Provisions in case of failure of Constitutional Machinery in State.
(vi.) Power of Parliament to legislate with respect to Matters in the State list
vii.) Power of Parliament for formation of new States and Alteration of Areas/Boundaries as well as Extinct the existing State.

You are requested to present your enlightened views on the theme/Sub-themes of the Webinar.

Online Inter- Institutional Legal Essay Writing Competition

IPEM Law Academy is organizing an Online Inter- Institutional Legal Essay Writing Competition on the theme of “Corona & Personal Liberty” on 6th June 2020, (Saturday). The purpose of this Legal essay writing competition is to encourage all students to showcase their ideas and expressions with their unique writing skills.
E-Certificate will be provided to each participant and the winner and runner up will be given cash prizes of Rs3000/,Rs2500/ and 2000/ respectively.

Online Quiz Competition

IPEM Law Academy has organized Online Quiz Competition on 23rd May 2020 (Saturday) through Google classroom at 11:30 A.M. Link of the Quiz were shared sharp at 11:30 A.M with the participants and 30 minutes were alloted to complete the quiz. In this competition total 58 Students from BALLB & LLB participated. The result of the quiz competition is declare.

The Result is like this:

Three students from LL.B got 1st position and Three students got 2nd position from LL.B itself.

Two students from B.A LL.B got 1st position and one student got 2nd position.

National Moot Court competition

IPEM Law Academy organized Dr. B.S.Goel Memorial National Moot Court competition on 31st January & 1st February 2020. On 31st January the Inaugural Session, Qualifying Round & Semifinal Round has been conducted. Out of 20 registered teams 16 teams have participated & finally at the end of the day two teams are through for final round which is Scheduled on 1st February 2020. Dr. Anjali Mittal, Mr Sukesh Mishra graced the occasion as Chief Guests & 12 eminent persons from different backgrounds were present as Judges. In Final Round Christ College, Ghaziabad Team declared winner & IPEM Law Academy, Ghaziabad declared runner up.In Velidictory Session Winning & Runner Up teams were received Momento, Certificates & Cash Prizes. Best Speaker, Best Researcher & Best Memorial also selected among all participants.They also received Cash prizes, Certificates & Momentos and all the participants were also acknowledged by Certificates & Momentos. Justice M.K Mittal, Mr. Manoj Sinha, Director ILI graced the occasion as Chief Guests.

Online Moot Court Competition

IPEM Law Academy organized an Online Moot Court Competition on 30th May 2020 through google classroom and Cisco Webex. In this competition all the teams were required to submit their Memorials on google classroom and present their arguments through webex. Total 18 teams (11 teams from B.A.,LL.B. and 07 teams from LL.B.) registered themselves in this competition. Each team had 3 participants.

All teams have uploaded their Memorials on Google classroom.

For presentation, we have created 2 separate meetings on Cisco Webex for B.A.,LL.B. and LL.B..

Webex Meeting of LLB was host by Ms. Archana Singh and Mr. Neeraj Sharma. The Competition was Judged by our Alumni, Mr. Neeraj Kumar. Moot Court Proceeding has been concluded in smooth manner & all teams presented their argument with Legal terms & in democratic way. Alumni Judge Mr Neeraj made good interaction with our students.

Runner Up- Aman,Ajay & Amit LL.B. 2nd sem

Webex Meeting of BALLB was host by Dr. Meenakshi Tomar and Ms. Neha Garg. This competition was judged by our Alumni, Advocate Abhishek Bharti. Proceedings of Moot Court has been concluded in smoth manner and the session was very interactive. Judge asked questions from each teams and got answers from participants. All teams gave their best efforts.

Abhishek sir appreciated all the students and motivate them. He gave his best wishes to all the students. Session was concluded by Prof. (Dr.) B P S Sehgal sir with his motivational words who briefly explained the importance of this competition.

Winner – Abhishek Bhatt, Darsh Bhardwaj and Ashu Dixit from B.A.LL.B. 8th sem
Runner Up- Mohit, Vaibhav and Jagdeep from B.A.LL.B. 10th sem.

On 15th February 2020, IPEM Law Academy organized Dasna Jail Visit program for Law Students. Students watched the Jail Administration & they also saw the immates.Various NGO including India Vision Foundation is providing different opportunities for the betterment of these immates.Jailor Anand Kumar,Dr. Sunil Tyagi (Dasna Jail)were accompanied us throughout the visit.
