Purpose and Objective:

To equip students and faculty members with practical knowledge of Manupatra for effective legal research, case law analysis, and academic projects, thereby enhancing their research efficiency and professional competence.

Description:

On the occasion of National Librarian’s Day, IPEM Law Academy, in collaboration with Vishwanath Library, organized an Awareness Session on “MANUPATRA: An Online Database for Legal Research” on 12th August 2025. The session was conducted in the Law Seminar Hall from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM and was facilitated by Mr. K.K. Pankaj and Mr. Rohit Arora from Manupatra.

The resource persons provided in-depth guidance on leveraging Manupatra for legal research, case law analysis, and academic writing, helping participants enhance their research skills. The session was well-received and proved to be an enriching experience, in line with IPEM’s vision of academic excellence and professional skill development.

Purpose and Objective:

The purpose of the law student visit to INDIA TV is to provide students with practical exposure to the media landscape, especially in the context of legal matters. The visit aims to bridge the gap between theoretical legal education and real-world media practices, allowing students to understand how legal issues are covered, discussed, and interpreted in the media. It offers an opportunity for students to observe the integration of law and media, focusing on the ethical and legal implications of media reporting, freedom of speech, and the role of law in shaping public narratives.

 

Description:

The visit provided a valuable opportunity for students to observe and understand the intersection of media, law, and public affairs in a real-world context. The topic of discussion was MODI AUR MUSALMAN. During the visit, students had the chance to engage with the anchor Mr. Hussain  Rizvi and media professionals. The students also observed live broadcast sessions and participated in discussions that highlighted the responsibilities of both the media and legal professionals in the modern information landscape. The interaction was highly informative and enriching, offering students practical knowledge that complements their academic studies.

Purpose and Objective:

The purpose of the Supreme Court visit for law students is to provide firsthand exposure to the judicial process, enhance understanding of constitutional law, and encourage critical thinking. Objectives include observing court proceedings, engaging with legal professionals, and fostering a deeper appreciation for the role of the judiciary in society.

Description:

On March 18, 2025, fifty law students from BALLB, BCOMLLB, and LLB programs, accompanied by visit Coordinator Prof. Dr. Yogesh Kumar Gupta, embarked on an educational trip to the Supreme Court. The visit aimed to bridge theoretical knowledge with practical insights into the judicial system. Students observed live court proceedings, gaining a deeper understanding of legal arguments and judicial decision-making processes. The day included interactions with legal professionals, providing valuable perspectives on careers in law and the significance of the judiciary in upholding justice. Prof. Gupta facilitated discussions on landmark cases and their implications, enriching the students’ learning experience. This excursion not only enhanced students’ appreciation for the legal system but also fostered enthusiasm for their future careers in law. Overall, the visit was an enriching opportunity to witness the workings of the Supreme Court, inspiring the next generation of legal professionals.

Purpose and Objective:

This program aims to provide law students with practical insights into the core principles, processes, and procedures that define arbitration as an alternative dispute resolution method & to discuss recent developments, such as technology’s impact on arbitration, evolving international arbitration practices, and emerging legal and ethical challenges.

Description:

The expert talk was conducted by IPEM Law Academy keeping in mind the relevance of arbitration as a career option for budding lawyers. The resource person, Ms Raadhika Chawla, Arbitration Advisor and Cross Border Commercial Dispute Lawyer, focussed on nuances of Arbitration so that students can get a detailed outlook of the domain. She also focussed on career aspects and CV drafting to ensure students can get holistic picture. The students also pitched in their contributions by posing questions which was duly answered by Ms Chawla. Considering the today’s commercial legal domain, arbitration is not just a cost effective mode of dispute resolution but a more viable and intricate domain which should be explored by students.

Purpose and Objective:

The purpose of this National Seminar is to bring together legal experts, academicians, law enforcement agencies, and students to discuss the growing challenges posed by cyber crimes in today’s digital world. With rapid technological advancement, cyber threats have become more complex and widespread, demanding an urgent need for robust legal frameworks and effective enforcement mechanisms. This seminar aims to explore emerging trends in cyber crime, evaluate the effectiveness of existing cyber laws, and suggest practical remedial measures. It also seeks to raise awareness and encourage proactive dialogue to strengthen cyber security and promote a safer digital ecosystem for all.

National Seminar on “Cyber ​​Crime and Cyber ​​Law: Emerging Threats and Remedial Measures” organized by IPEM Law Academy, Ghaziabad was held in the auditorium of the Institute In Collaboration with Cyber Cell Ghaziabad, UP & Cyber Peace Foundation. The event started with lighting of the lamp and felicitation of the dignitaries. In the inaugural session, Prof. Dr. Sungdha Goyal (Executive Director IPEM Ghaziabad), Prof. Dr. Geeti Sharma (Director, IPEM Group) presented the welcome address while the Guest of Honour, Prof. Dr. Kiran Gupta (Professor, Law Centre-2, University of Delhi), delivered the inaugural address. Dr. Shashank Chaudhary, Dean Academic IPEM , delivered the closing remark of inaugural session of the programme. The highlight of the seminar was the panel discussion on “Cyber ​​Law in the Age of AI and Automation: Redrawing Legal Boundaries” in which Shri Upendra Thakur (Advocate, Supreme Court) and Prof. Dr. Diwanshu Srivastava, Shri Santosh Tiwari (SHO, Cyber ​​Crime Police Station, Ghaziabad), Advocate Anand Duggal and Prof. Dr. Meenakshi Chaturvedi shared their views. On this occasion, all the guests released the proceedings booklet of the seminar. More than 90 research papers were presented in the seminar from all over India. In the technical sessions, various researchers and students presented research papers on topics related to cyber crime and law. The technical sessions were chaired by Dr. Parul Gurudev, Dr. Zeeshan Hussain Hashmi, Dr. Shalini Agarwal, Dr. Anita and Dr. Divya Singh. Apart from this, a special workshop on “Cyber ​​Security Law in Digital Age” was conducted by Dr. Parul Gurudev, in which the participants participated enthusiastically. The function concluded with the coordinator address of Dr. Purnima Chaudhary and vote of thanks by Prof. Dr. Yogesh Kumar Gupta. The best research papers were awarded and a group photo was also taken with all the participants and dignitaries. This event of IPEM is an important achievement for the students and researchers.
